Overview
of the courses offered in the department
The Department offers
a wide range of courses both in Undergraduate and
Post graduate programmes. But fundamentally, the courses
fall under the traditional Disciplines of Comparative
and International Education, History of Education,
Educational Administration and Planning, Economics
of Education, Sociology and Philosophy of Education.
Students interested in majoring in any of the above
disciplines at postgraduate level are encouraged to
cultivate an interdisciplinary and holistic approach
that promotes a better appreciation of Educational
issues and Problems in Education in a local and global
setting.
The rationale for
the study of the Educational foundations is of comprehensive
theoretical framework of vital importance in practice.
Each Educational Foundation discipline is of an intended
perspective on Education from its own point of view
within the; undergraduate level, Post Graduate Diploma
in Education, Masters and Doctorate level.
